Labour not to be rich: cease from your own wisdom" (Prov. 23.4)

We understand that the "ceasing" refers to a course and path which is not laid out by God.

Verily, we live in a material world. Day after day, we are bombed by midia to purchase more and more; to achieve different levels of confort (or luxury?), etc. Without perceiving, we are led into temptations, led into turmoils, led into circumstances entirely beyond our own strenght and efforts. We must watch carefully; otherwise we might fall into pieces.

Riches make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle towards Heaven. Riches are temporary. Do not set your eyes on such, but set your eyes on the Lord.

A place to live in peace; some food (yes, quality is important); some garment; some transportation; some real friends - apart from family members. Life should be simple!

Habemus Papam - Francisco I

The white smoke finally came out from Rome, and brought us a new pope: Francisco I, from Buenos Aires, Argentina. In fact, this is the very first time a pope comes out from Latin America.

Jorge Mario Bergoglio (76), now named Francisco I, is a jesuit, archbishop in Buenos Aires.

On his first speech (speaking in Italian, with a strong argentine accent), he begged for the blessing of the crowd, before he was able to give them (the crowd) his own blessing Urbi et Orbi (from Rome to the world). This was a humble gesture, quickly perceived by all.

The new pope will face a lot of spiritual and administrative battles...

May Francisco I have a long life!

"A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold" (Prov. 22.1)"

Vatican has been trying, since yesterday, to find a pope. Two elections have been held, but no name  yet.

More elections to come today, until a  pope comes up, with a "white smoke".

What has the world to do about it? Many things:

1. There are over 1.4 billions of christians in the planet;
2. Over 800 millions are catholics;
3. Vatican is, at the same time, a church and a State (country);

Vatican (and christianism) has an extremely big influence over all, I said all religions.

We should realize that any country wishes to have good relationship with the Vatican - and the pope, mainly.

Let's all watch and rejoice on this big party: choosing of a pope, a tradition which remains over two thousand years, and more to come!

Habemus Christos!

"A wise man will hear and increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels".

Photo: view from Fortaleza Port - northeastern Brazil.

In fact, a wise person will always be with ears and heart open to the new, to the "adding of something useful", to the whisperings of the Holy Spirit, in case she/she is a true christian. The wise does not hold any "chronos", that ie, he is not actually attained to ages. He is not too concerned about growing older and older, for this is a natural consequence of being human. That simple!

Yet, I hear a reader asking me: how to be wise in amidst of such a hard time? Frankly, I do not have "ready-answers". Nevertheless, I thing to have some experiences out of my 51 years of age:

1. Hear it all; filter it all. Hold firm to the good things (and persons) you consider;
2. Hear it all; filter it all. Do your best in everything. This brings a true meaning for life;
3. Hear it all; filter it all. Endeavour for the better. Search until you find it;
4. Hear it all; filter it all. Do not take it for granted first time. Delve further into it;
5. Hear it all; filter it all. Give thanks to the Lord, in everything.

Wisdom is a little flower which grows inside of each one of us, and it comes up to the surface through our actions - not only words.

Be wise! Glory to God!

Resurrection at the end of the world: 21.12.2012

I actualy died on 21.12.2012, about 2pm on a sunny afternoon, at the temperature of 34 ºC in the shadow, in the province of Ceara, northeastern Brazil. I was the victim of Maia, his timing, his calendar, his predictions.

First of all, I must say that I was a victim of the media, controlled by no more than six families in the whole world. They are ambitious people who need - for reasons of survival - controversial issues, management of comments, production of many reports, causing heated discussions about the end of the world, which should be real close, judging by mental retardation of millions, or even billions! On a poor and shallow grave, and sad, and in the last row of the cemetery, I was put.

Few souls went to my funeral, almost nobody wept - except the widow - she wept of disgusting, for I had done a life insurance policy "that would not give much to her," in her opinion. Besides, she still had 12 children to feed, and a Christmas ahead to buy gifts whose prices would be extremely expensive, as usual.

Those who are amazed by the amount of children, I should clarify: I was a member of an ancient brotherhood: Benedictus. Each member made an oath to leave on earth a total of 12 riders-knights. The brotherood was the continuation of the Templars, holy men - and warriors - who guarded the way to the Holy Land, the Israel of God.

The cemetery emptied, while the day ended and evening came upon us.The widow, poor creature, took her last coins to pay for the funeral, before returning home, with the 12 riders-knights, on a "van" of a sympathizer of the brotherhood Benedictus.

On the third day, around 2pm, I felt something extraordinary: a sound as of a rushing mighty wind, hissed across the saint field. The sun fled and a thin rain precipitated over the entire lawn of the place. The temperature dropped to 23ºC, conducive to a resurrection.

The worms did not have access to my body, regardless of their protest, without any effect - naturally. An angel, a six winged, came from the Almighty and said to me: your time has not yet come, flathead! Your heart attack was the product of your small brain itself, through which the media took advantage and instilled this stupid idea of "end of the world"!

Therefore, behold, you were added a few years. Keep believing in the end of the world, but in accordance to what the Bible says.But the angel continued, - as punishment for your belief in the media, here and now, you will return aged.

I forced the lid, which had been badly seated (Oh, these undertakers of today!). I came back to life, and to the widow, and to the 12 riders-knights, and to the expenditure for the Christmas party at the church, and to a few friends, and - wow, to the borrowers - those diabolical creatures without consideration neither respect to someone who died and now - by His grace - is alive, again!

See, my readers, the above picture, and mourn with me! Watch the "state-condition"  I am now. Anyway, I came back! Ressurection is a fact!

Well, we have just come into a very special date: 12.12.2012!

In fact, the world might come to an end today - yes: today, indeed!

All esoteric creatures have all come to a very magic moment, as per their viewpoint of life. They are sure the world shall end today or latest on 21.12.2012, as per Mayan Calender! Nonsense, of course! But, the world is made out of different people...

I should write little more, but a six-wingled angel has just landed next to me. He is staring at me with big greenish eyes, and waving at me, as if he wanted me to board the space-shuttle and move up to outer space...

See you in 3012!

7 SOULS BAPTISED INTO WATER TODAY

10h15AM, 33ºC, by the seashore, 15km away from Fortaleza, northeastern Brazil, a total of 7 souls were baptised into water, for the glory of God.

1. Francisco de Assis Bezerra
2. Ivna Belo Barbosa
3. Livia Belo Lima
4. Monica Mesquita da Silva
5. Maria Liliane Gomes de Sousa Maia
6. Maria de Lourdes Simão da Silva
7. José Alexandre Lima Gomes

From today onwards, they are all welcome to the Supper, celebrated in our little church every 4th Sunday of each month.

The true Gospel has been preached in Fortaleza - Brazil. By "true" we mean: Christ-centered, theologically correct according to Arminian's interpretation. We fully respect all other theological segments-interpretations, but this (Arminian) is our basis. Little by little, God has been adding souls to His flock, since inception of our community, back in 2002 (yes: 10 years ago).

God is great and good - oh yeah: very good indeed!

GOD SPEAKS ALL LANGUAGES...

Photo: Beira-Mar, seashore, Fortaleza City, northeast Brazil, at 6PM. Place where we usually preach every 3rd Saturday.

Last 20/10/2012, in Fortaleza City, northeast Brazil, by the seashore, around 7PM, I preached to thousands of tourists passing by...

The message was in English, Spanish, Italian, German and Portuguese (my mother language).

God can do miracles, as we all know, and making Himself understood in any, literally, any language.

In case your church/organization might feel interested in learning - in details - what God has been doing in Brazil, I would be honoured to minister at some time.

Fortaleza City - Brazil   August 29th, 2012

"How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion: Your God reigns" (Isaiah 52.7).

When I was a teenager, I used to preach in the streets of my city, up and down, during week-ends.

At times, I was allowed to enter homes and have some food, aftter the preaching of good tidings - God was merciful upon me. Old times, never to come again!

This year, I decided to go back in the streets and preach only Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.

The picture above was shot in a very important and well known avenue of Fortaleza, right in front of the TVs stations in town! It was 9h AM and sun was very hot indeed: 33C! A fresh breeze from the Atlantic Ocean came upon us to ease our bodies and minds. Praise the Lord!

On the 3rd Saturday of each month, I am again in the streets and avenues of my city proclaiming: life is very, very short and time is coming to the end! Repent and pursue happiness and salvation in Jesus Christ.

May God Himself heal our bodies and souls, today and ever.

THE LOVE OF MONEY...

For the love of money is a source of all kinds of evil (1Tim 6.10)

Money is just a reference for buying and selling.

In our journey to eternity, our relationship with money has almost no importance. The truth is that the extreme love for the money is huge hindrance to the life of closeness to God. You cannot serve God and mammon at the same time!

What to do, then?

1.     Your love, worship and closer relationship to God only;
2.     Put God in your life before it is too late for you;
3.     Recognize you are a sinner, hence need repentance/salvation;
4.    Confess Jesus Christ as your saviour and Lord (not money!);
5.     Learn the value of money. You are merely a steward; not Lord;
6.     Do not hurry... Life is too short!

You need to get the best out of life, but actually knowing how to do it, slowly and tenderly, as if savouring a delicious ice cream!

On your prayers, remember me.

THE RIGHT WORDS IN A PRAYER

Most people struggle with words in a prayer.

Usually, we feel ashamed when asked to pray loud, especially in a group.

Therefore, what to do? Hum... try this:

1.     Let your heart speaks;
2.     Let your spirit flows;
3.     Let all your mind surrenders;
4.     Let your body relaxes;
5.     Let your consciousness be itself.

The result of all this will be: simplicity.

God is simple. He does not hear "beautiful words", but a sincere prayer.

God bless you! Oh, by the way: remember me on your prayers! Thanks indeed!

By the seashore, Fortaleza - Brazil
Fortaleza - Brazil  31.07.2012

Today is last day of month. I could not avoid being astonished by a notice I read on a brazilian site today. See it below:

The market for pet dogs, cats and fishes is already generating more money in Brazil than one of the economy's most traditional industries, appliances. Sales of ovens, refrigerators and washing machines totaled R$17.9 billion in 2011, according to consultancy GfK. During the same period, the market for pet products and services reached R$18.2 billion in revenue, according to the Brazilian Association of the Pet Industry (Abinpet).
“Nobody can call our market superfluous anymore,” says José Edson Galvão de Grança, Abinpet's president. Proof of that is that the Agriculture Ministry just launched the Pet Sectoral Chamber to serve as direct communication link between businessmen and the government to discuss issues like regulation, public policies and tax costs (the industry pays up to 49% taxes on its products and services).

Wow! Brazilians are spending more on pets than on appliances! How on earth could this country be called a "poor and/or emerging nation"!? Indeed, we are literally superfluous in every aspect! Brazil has about 190 million inhabitants, from which over 35 millions live in poverty - yes, I said: poverty! On the other side, pets are treated far much better than humans! There might be something wrong! Yes, there is something terribly wrong: a human's heart! How to amend this broken-heart? A good beginning is the reading of the Bible and, as a consequence, the acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.

To those who spend too much money on pets, I say: watch out! Pets have no soul; men do! You fellows have souls and God waits for you, on the day of judgement. It is a simple question of time...

HOW TO CURE LONELINESS?

It is always very hard to give a final and positive response to that question, hence the big number of lonely people walking down the streets, although cities are crowded!  Ain't that nonsense!? How anyone can feel solitaire surrounded by millions of people?

1.     Loneliness "attack" all people, from all walks of life. Money cannot buy you friends-s.
2.     Sadness, lack of interest on things, etc. are signals of loneliness (deeper). Watch out!
3.     Stretch out your soul-spirit! Get ready for new things and persons! Be open to the new!
4.     Talk to people. Do not expect them to come over talking with you! People are shy, like you!
5.      Go out! Chat on Internet! Read a book! Go out for a walk! Practice some sport!

Remember: life is very very short. Why to spoil your life crying all day!?

God loves you! There are good people (majority) at churches! Visit them! God loves you.

PASTOR PREACHES IN PORTUGUESE, ENGLISH AND SPANISH, BY THE SEA...

Next Saturday, 19.05.2012, I shall preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ in Fortaleza City (Northern Brazil), by the seashore.

The event will take place at 7p.m on sharp. The choir of my church will be there singing in Portuguese, English and Spanish. Thousands of tourists - nationals and foreigners - will be walking up and down and, hence, listening to the Good News of salvation.

The event happens every month. Matter of fact, it is something "new", once this never ever happened before (not in 3 languages, at the same time).

Chinese Travelers are in the whole world today!

Digitally strolling on USAToday's site, today, 01.02.2012, I noticed that US Travel Industry couldn't be happier.

President Obama has eased visas for chinese travelers to come into US. Chinese travelers (rich people, of course) usually spend a bunch of money wherever they go.

US site says: In New York, Chinese spent on average $3,197 per person in 2010, the highest among foreign travel groups. "

They're sort of the new Japanese," Dixon says. "Ain't" it weird? Chinese labor force must live with a monthly income of less than 50 USDollars! Yet, the new "middle class" from China can fly to US and - believe me! - purchase "chinese made products", in New York, at a cheaper price... than in Beijing! Oh, world!

There is, to my understanding, a major problem: US travel industry people are now compelled to "get ready" to welcome chinese and - sure: please them, by understanding their ancient culture, not exhibiting certain numbers (like 44), speaking Mandarin, etc.

US and Europe facing tough times on their economies... The time (and Economy) changes minds, prejudices, etc. Yes, I know: Obama also eased visas for brazilians, once our economy has been booming over past 5 years...

Let the chinese flock to the world!

Oh, by the way: how many languages, do you speak?

Xie xie (thanks, indeed - in Mandarin!).

Berlusconi resigns in Italy Berlusconi finally goes home (or elsewhere!).

He was actually the main cause of Italy to be in troubles on the Euro Zone until today.

Money is not everything, reported my grand-mom a few days ago. Berlusconi has lot of money, but less brain year-after-year...!!!

Italy and the Euro Zone hope things gradually fit to the right place. Some friends of mine in Europe told me that the "very big mistake" was "to add" many countries to Euro! Wow! That is true!? IF it is true, then something might be done to adjust the thing; IF it is not true; many things must be done "to add" more intelligence to the "Heads-of-Government".

USA DEBT CEILING AGREEMENT REACHED DEAL

It is said that Republicans are working together to expell Obama from White House sooner (preferably) or later...!!! The point is that USA economy still sets Globe rolling over and over, again and again, 24h a day!

Stock markets world-wide were astonished on belated decision from USA to reach some agreement, which will give more time for the economy to recover and Obama to breath a little bit - while next elections comes in!

Should we say that US "Empire" is about to decline? Yes and No! Yes: no Empire lasts for ever. USA cannot - as before - politically determine everything in the world. China + Europe (Germany - mainly) + India + Brazil and other countries are playing important roles nowadays. Budget cuts will have to be implemented immediately by Obama. No: Empire(s) do not decline so fast - not at all! It takes time, centuries...!!!

We should all remember: if any default comes from Obama, the whole world will suffer - a lot! Hum, better help uncle Sam-Obama!
