Fortaleza City - Brazil August 29th, 2012 "How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion: Your God reigns" (Isaiah 52.7). When I was a teenager, I used to preach in the streets of my city, up and down, during week-ends. At times, I was allowed to enter homes and have some food, aftter the preaching of good tidings - God was merciful upon me. Old times, never to come again! This year, I decided to go back in the streets and preach only Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. The picture above was shot in a very important and well known avenue of Fortaleza, right in front of the TVs stations in town! It was 9h AM and sun was very hot indeed: 33C! A fresh breeze from the Atlantic Ocean came upon us to ease our bodies and minds. Praise the Lord! On the 3rd Saturday of each month, I am again in the streets and avenues of my city proclaiming: life is very, very short and time is coming to the end! Repent and pursue happiness and salvation in Jesus Christ. May God Himself heal our bodies and souls, today and ever. For the love of money is a source of all kinds of evil (1Tim 6.10)
Money is just a reference for buying and selling.
In our journey to eternity, our relationship with money has almost no importance. The truth is that the extreme love for the money is huge hindrance to the life of closeness to God. You cannot serve God and mammon at the same time!
What to do, then?
1. Your love, worship and closer relationship to God only;
2. Put God in your life before it is too late for you;
3. Recognize you are a sinner, hence need repentance/salvation;
4. Confess Jesus Christ as your saviour and Lord (not money!);
5. Learn the value of money. You are merely a steward; not Lord;
6. Do not hurry... Life is too short!
You need to get the best out of life, but actually knowing how to do it, slowly and tenderly, as if savouring a delicious ice cream!
On your prayers, remember me.

Bethfage Community Church - Fortaleza/Brazil
THE RIGHT WORDS IN A PRAYER
Most people struggle with words in a prayer.
Usually, we feel ashamed when asked to pray loud, especially in a group.
Therefore, what to do? Hum... try this:
1. Let your heart speaks;
2. Let your spirit flows;
3. Let all your mind surrenders;
4. Let your body relaxes;
5. Let your consciousness be itself.
The result of all this will be: simplicity.
God is simple. He does not hear "beautiful words", but a sincere prayer.
God bless you! Oh, by the way: remember me on your prayers! Thanks indeed!

By the seashore, Fortaleza - Brazil
Fortaleza - Brazil 31.07.2012 Today is last day of month. I could not avoid being astonished by a notice I read on a brazilian site today. See it below:
The market for pet dogs, cats and fishes is already generating more money in Brazil than one of the economy's most traditional industries, appliances. Sales of ovens, refrigerators and washing machines totaled R$17.9 billion in 2011, according to consultancy GfK. During the same period, the market for pet products and services reached R$18.2 billion in revenue, according to the Brazilian Association of the Pet Industry (Abinpet).
“Nobody can call our market superfluous anymore,” says José Edson Galvão de Grança, Abinpet's president. Proof of that is that the Agriculture Ministry just launched the Pet Sectoral Chamber to serve as direct communication link between businessmen and the government to discuss issues like regulation, public policies and tax costs (the industry pays up to 49% taxes on its products and services).
Wow! Brazilians are spending more on pets than on appliances! How on earth could this country be called a "poor and/or emerging nation"!? Indeed, we are literally superfluous in every aspect! Brazil has about 190 million inhabitants, from which over 35 millions live in poverty - yes, I said: poverty! On the other side, pets are treated far much better than humans! There might be something wrong! Yes, there is something terribly wrong: a human's heart! How to amend this broken-heart? A good beginning is the reading of the Bible and, as a consequence, the acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.
To those who spend too much money on pets, I say: watch out! Pets have no soul; men do! You fellows have souls and God waits for you, on the day of judgement. It is a simple question of time...

It is always very hard to give a final and positive response to that question, hence the big number of lonely people walking down the streets, although cities are crowded! Ain't that nonsense!? How anyone can feel solitaire surrounded by millions of people?
1. Loneliness "attack" all people, from all walks of life. Money cannot buy you friends-s.
2. Sadness, lack of interest on things, etc. are signals of loneliness (deeper). Watch out!
3. Stretch out your soul-spirit! Get ready for new things and persons! Be open to the new!
4. Talk to people. Do not expect them to come over talking with you! People are shy, like you!
5. Go out! Chat on Internet! Read a book! Go out for a walk! Practice some sport!
Remember: life is very very short. Why to spoil your life crying all day!?
God loves you! There are good people (majority) at churches! Visit them! God loves you.

Next Saturday, 19.05.2012, I shall preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ in Fortaleza City (Northern Brazil), by the seashore.
The event will take place at 7p.m on sharp. The choir of my church will be there singing in Portuguese, English and Spanish. Thousands of tourists - nationals and foreigners - will be walking up and down and, hence, listening to the Good News of salvation.
The event happens every month. Matter of fact, it is something "new", once this never ever happened before (not in 3 languages, at the same time).
May God bless us all!

Chinese Travelers are in the whole world today!
Digitally strolling on USAToday's site, today, 01.02.2012, I noticed that US Travel Industry couldn't be happier.
President Obama has eased visas for chinese travelers to come into US. Chinese travelers (rich people, of course) usually spend a bunch of money wherever they go.
US site says: In New York, Chinese spent on average $3,197 per person in 2010, the highest among foreign travel groups. "
They're sort of the new Japanese," Dixon says. "Ain't" it weird? Chinese labor force must live with a monthly income of less than 50 USDollars! Yet, the new "middle class" from China can fly to US and - believe me! - purchase "chinese made products", in New York, at a cheaper price... than in Beijing! Oh, world!
There is, to my understanding, a major problem: US travel industry people are now compelled to "get ready" to welcome chinese and - sure: please them, by understanding their ancient culture, not exhibiting certain numbers (like 44), speaking Mandarin, etc.
US and Europe facing tough times on their economies... The time (and Economy) changes minds, prejudices, etc. Yes, I know: Obama also eased visas for brazilians, once our economy has been booming over past 5 years...
Let the chinese flock to the world!
Oh, by the way: how many languages, do you speak?
Xie xie (thanks, indeed - in Mandarin!).
