SO, IT IS - AGAIN - CHRISTMAS!

So it's Christmas – again – and we are preparing for the festivities: at the company, in the family, wherever we can go and/or are invited! After all, food and gifts are a perfect combination! Yes – and there are also drinks, many and of all types, for all tastes! After all, it's Christmas!

But is this really what Christmas is? Hmm – 'this' is part of Christmas, but it is not essentially Christmas! Christmas is:

• The celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ;
• The adoration of the birthday boy;
• The incarnation of God in the humanity of Jesus Christ;
• The opportunity to recognize Jesus Christ as our lord and savior.

So, go! Go and celebrate Christmas with your family and friends!

Russia VS Ukraine

Vlad Putin has been in power since 2000. So that's 23 years! And he wants to perpetuate himself in power! The misfortune is that he thinks he is an orthodox Christian, and he still has the support of the Church in his country!

It is known that about 50 thousand people have already died in the Russia-Ukraine war, which actually started in 2014. Thousands more will die in front of television cameras and a bunch of cowards who call themselves leaders of their countries!

What to do?

1. Nothing;

2. Let Putin destroy Ukraine;

3. Give Ukraine more weapons;

4. Pray and pretend that the war will soon be over.

As a pastor, I am deeply sorry to say that Bill Hybels (picture) has resigned from Willow Creek Church(USA) and has been accused of sexual misconduct. The truth of the fact is that he now acknowledges that, on several occasions, he should have behaved differently.

There is an investigation in course at Willow Creek Church.

One thing I am sure of: a pastor and/or a priest should not - by no means - have a luxurious car or a jet. There is no excuse. None at all. Jets and luxurious cars do not actually fit as a symbol of humbleness.

THE HURRICANE INSIDE MY CHEST! 

No doubt: life has been severely affected on the brethren living in Florida over the past years, due to the frequent hurricanes. Devastation is all over and will never, ever be forgotten.  The pain is out there! But the pain is also - and mainly! - inside the chest, the mind, the whole body! And now!? What to do? 1. Believe it or not, God has everything under control; 2. He, God, has His own ways to councel-advise-draw people's attention; 3. The world will NOT (probably) finish now... 4. Other hurricanes (truth fact) will come over, bearing different names; 5. Get protection here and now!  What protection do I mean? Well, independently of hurricanes, there is peace in the valley of the faith. Yeah: you need faith to humbly accept that there is a 'power' up up there... and we, human beings, are mere pilgrims on earth, with a glimpse of existence aroubt 80-90 year old!?  Listen up! LUTHERANS - HAVE THEY ACTUALLY GOT OUT OF THE VATICAN?

YES - to my understanding, Martin Luther did what he should have to do at that particular time: an attempt of a reform inside the church. Yet, he was expelled, as everybody knows.

NO - lutherans, since long ago, have started an approach with the Vatican for something beyond the social services and a 'communion', which is not actually very clear to some people, but crystal-clear to lots of protestants.

Therefore, the question entitled above remains: have Lutherans actually got out of Vatican?
