"My dear friend, do not be surprised at the painful test you are suffering, as though something unusual were happening to you" (1 Peter 4.12).

We usually welcome surprises! Some are good; others are bad enough to make us all feel blue - if not depressed. At these times, we usually ask: why me? what have I done so sinfully? why not another person? why, why and why!? Our capacity to make questions is very big, indeed. Yet, the answers "are not born in the wind", as the song says. They are brought by means of a  broader understanding that even the "suffering" can make us a little better, that is, we can take something good out of something bad.

The verse above says that any painful test is not something unusual. Painful tests happen almost every day in our lives. We must stay closer to God and his Son Jesus Christ, in order to endure the day-to-day activities. Therefore, as the Bible says: if you suffer because you are a Christian, don't be ashamed of it, but thank God that you bear Christ's name.

Hum, still sad? Try this:

1. Pray  now;
2. Read the Bible;
3. Take a walk to a nice, calm place;
4. Call a real friend and tallk to him/her.

May peace be with all of you who belong to Christ.
